Happy 1st Birthday Elodie

Elodie's first birthday today and we had such a perfect day. From start to finish it was just so lovely. Elodie was in great spirits. For once she'd had a good nights sleep which meant that P and I weren't our usual zombie selves. We took her to a childrens farm in Lewes where the sun came out just as we'd finished lunch and were about to visit the farm. She really enjoyed seeing all these strange creatures she'd never set eyes on before, and she was full of laughter when P put her in the swing. We left as the sun was going down and drove back home with the sunset as our backdrop. The day really couldn't have been better. Elodie was such good company I was sad to see her go to bed!
I can't believe how full the last year has been. Elodie's birthday felt like a milestone. I waited for my little family for so long. That I honestly feel so thankful everyday that my dream finally came true.
