Betsy with their handsome, bearded cousin, Steve, flying back to NZ tomorrow for who knows how long?

It's the first time they have seen him in two and a half years. Al doesn't really remember him - as the last time he saw him he wasn't yet six and hadn't seen him for about two years before that.

Steve is a really lovely man. I have known him since he was about five, and he was always adorable. He has spent the last several years travelling around South America, Asia, America, Australia and New Zealand. He swoops in every couple of years with exotic presents for Betsy and Al and jets off again.

He seems to like Wellington and hasn't moved from there for quite a long time so perhaps that is where he will stay.

Stephen is the oldest of seven grandchildren and Al is the youngest.
