Dead Aglais urticae

Ellie found this dead small tortoiseshell butterfly on the window ledge of Grandma's spare room. Perfectly preserved (apart from a missing antenna) it is really beautiful., especially the blue dots around its wings. It was only when I photographed it on a macro setting with a flash that I could actually see its eyes, which I found a little disconcerting.
