Back to Piggotts Bottom 2

Thank you Ken Petch for pointing out how Spring is so rapidly coming to Piggotts Bottom.

I got home VERY late last night (the only drawback with taking a TAP Portuguese Airlines flight) and so a gentle wander in the woods was just the thing. It was mild, of course, 11 degrees, and overcast, but the little nature reserve is charming and so peaceful.

It tells you firmly to stick to the paths so that you don't step on the plants. The plants don't obey any rules and they are growing all over the place in parts.

I was just wandering back to the car when a very lively young labrador, Honey, charged out of the bracken and nearly knocked me over. Maybe this isn't such a well kept secret after all.

I hope blippers will keep returning to this very special South Staffordshire paradise over the coming weeks. The daffodils and rhododendrons and other plants will be marvellous - and there's also the bird life.
