The Found Property post.

At my usual walking spot, a custom has grown up that any item found is taken back to the gate to the main car park, and left on one of the gate posts.

Dogs leads by the dozen I can understand and the odd ear ring but house keys, these have been here at least a week, and sometimes car keys. How do they get home and how do they get in?

I am left wondering, but pleasantly pleased that among my fellow dog walkers are kind hearted folk who bother to try and restore items to their owners.
