Hazard

This is the attractive exterior of our building. And the biggest of those icicles is about 50-60cm long.

Over the last week the temperature has risen by about 25 degrees (to about zero), and everything is starting to thaw. So the government is especially worried about things like this falling on our heads. Tragically, it happens. They fenced off the whole length of our building today, and men (with no safety equipment, of course) shovelled the ice and snow off the roof. On the way home I had to pick my way along a path scattered with huge fallen bricks of ice. The icicles, too, were gone.
