Still Life

I thought I'd put together a still life this evening but quite frankly it's a bit poor - I'm not going to do battle with it tonight - I'll try again another day as already it's 9.20pm and I really can't be arsed quite frankly.

The book is an old hand-written cookery book - full of recipes and newspaper cuttings, bits of cards - odds and ends. The first entry in the book is:

"You must wait other people's convenience
and neglect your own comfort the while.
In this place there is no regulation,
and nothing is done in grand style
