Advertising through the ages...

You can't walk far in Edinburgh without admiring the new which sits alongside the old, usually in the form of sleek modern buildings integrated amongst traditional architecture. I spotted these contrasting styles of advertising in Bruntsfield today. Subtle advertising perfectly integrated into the stonework contrasting with the sickly pink advertising of the nail bar.

I remember having to jump through hoops with the planners to have wood sash and case windows fitted in our flat in Newhaven, yet luminous pink paint seems to be appropriate for a main road in Bruntsfield!
