Hedgey
...or Brigg as he is now known.
After spotting the hedgehog in the garden, I was a little concerned. He was only a tiny thing and he was out during the day 2 days on the trot.
I caught him and plonked him on the scales. 262g. He wouldn't survive hibernation at that weight. Dave rang the hedgehog hospital and they told us how to care for him until we could get him there. After looking after him for 4 days, we said an emotional farewell to little Hedgey (who the hedgehog lady is calling Brigg). He'll be fed, kept warm to avoid hibernation and fingers crossed, released back into the wild next Spring.
