Great Spotted Woodpecker

In the last few weeks I've seen and heard quite a few woodpeckers. Certainly moe than usual. This female was waiting for a chance to get at a supply of nuts left by a benefactor in a country car park. The blue and great tits made it difficult initially, but once she was there, they stayed away until she had had her fill. She's a bit bigger and stronger than they are and clearly a bit intimidating!
