Funambule

We went back to Moore Park today (where we saw the Cirque du Soleil yesterday). The atmosphere was great. Relaxed and happy. The place was geared towards children, with lots of fun things for them to do.

The thing that attracted us the most though, was this tightrope walking setup. You paid $10 for a child to have three goes or $12 for an adult. This guy took his child on there and decided to have a go himself. He gave it a good go, but like all the others before and after him, failed to even get half way across.

We watched, laughed, took photos, clapped when someone did a good job and just generally enjoyed the light-hearted entertainment that didn't cost us a cent to enjoy!

We ate food, drank coffee, read books and soaked up the sun. Quite a blissful day actually.

At three o'clock we walked back to the hotel and caught the airport shuttle bus.

We got home just after midnight and then hit the sack.

Work tomorrow. Yawn.

P.S. Funambule means tightrope walker in French. I just think it's a bit funkier than the English.
