The Sunday evening at Hacketts

Hubs and I went for another run this morning, we took it easy (1.8.km) as there were a few quad aches from yesterdays spontaneous initiation into the world of running.
It's been a lazy day and very pleasant just pottering. I've got my spring salad mix and some Asters seeded up and nestled in the mini plastic house (I have aspirations for a green house or poly tunnel one day, in the meantime it's a sort of plastic wardrobe)!

We walked down to our favourite pub for the Sunday evening session. This is Kenny, Anna and Liam entertaining a good crowd = small pub + lots of friends squeezed in. I love it that people make the effort to come out on a drizzly evening for a pint and a song. They bring the kids, their instruments, the confidence to sing a few tunes and have a jig. There is a real sense of community here, even if it is mostly us 'blow ins'.

I have to decide if I'll run tomorrow (Hubs is away). Maybe I'll sit in and eat chocolate all day.
