Hiding

Today has been mostly me and the big girls, first to swimming, where Anna moved up to the next level in her lessons, green hat, which means she swims lengths and not much more than that. Rosie is trying out in the yellow hats and is now at the deep end. Very pleased for them.

After that we walked around about the Crags and had a picnic while trying to spot the parts of town and places we knew. Then down to the Portrait Gallery to meet gran and grampa for a wee while. The Portrait Gallery is so good, they had a couple of actors dressing up as the paintings in the Mary Queen of Scots story, they then got the children to choose a painting and then dress up as it. It was great and it brings the Gallery and the history alive for the children.

We had our obligatory visit to the film of the singing street. They love it, and love how Rosie can't help but singing along. They have the music in the headphones and all you hear is her wee voice all around the gallery. Here is a wee sample of the Singing Street .
