Sketch no. 27 - acrylics - long time no see

I usually paint in Oil, but my studio (back bedroom) has been turned into the 'massage treatment room'. And although I could still squeeze the easel into the corner (when there's no massage being committed), the lingering smell of meth. spirit really isn't that conducive to the 'relaxing' environment I would want to promote when I have clients / case studies over. Hence my oils have been banished!

Was thinking how I could do something a bit different today, and rediscovered a box of old acrylics. Most of them were dried out and un-usable, but a couple of colours were still workable. I think it must be the first time they've seen light in over 10years... and the painting with them shows as well! Have to admit that I much prefer using oils... will just have to convince my poor partner that we need a bigger house.. he he
