Pooling resources!

Today is the day of my big treck across country from Argyll to Aberdeen with #2 daughter to get her to the Olly Murs concert for 6.30 seeing as these buggers at her work wouldn't give her the time off when she first asked for it!
She has since handed in her notice and will be persuing work in Glasgow from next month onwards.
It seems in this day and age when Britain no longer rules the Empire that people now seek to have power over their workers here instead, nor for that matter do they treat them any better especially in the hospitality trade where they work long anti social hours for pennies.

My son works in a well known Central belt pub whose takings are well in the 6figure sum and they made him "supervisor" and gave him a paltry 25p on top of his "mimimum" wage an hour raise which no doubt the bloody Inland Revenue will claw back. His mates who do no work, live in large flats paid for by us, get more in benefits in a week than he can earn (with overtime) in a month! What kind of message does that send out? End of rant!

Just paid £60 for fuel for the car and us an oil producing country too! don't get me started!

The photo is of a sort of swimming pool built by one guy in his own time with his own money for the local kids to enjoy the water in saftey. Its still used in good weather but if he were to try to build this today, the jobsworth H&S ould come after him. Surprised they havnt banned it!
