Marjorie's ramblings

Caerlaverock WWT

I visited the Wildlife and Wetland Trust centre at Caerlaverock today. It took less than 90 mins to get there and was well worth the trip. There is a small lake where the swans gather along with a few different varieties of duck and a few geese. Twice a day they are fed. They come very close to the windows of the "hide" and so you can see a lot of detail and can observe their behaviour.

I was very keen to capture an image of a swan with its wings wide open as well as to capture them landing and taking off. I've put a few more images on Blipfolio and hope you have time to view them.

Tomorrow the Photo Society is off the Holy Island. L and I have decided to go before dawn and I'm heading for an early night shortly.
