Spoilsports!

I spotted these little signs affixed along this wall in the village yesterday, so went back in the daylight today to capture them. The full narrative says:

PRIVATE PROPERTY
Please do not sit or walk on this wall

How mean!

These low little walls have been the source of joy for generations of kiddiwinks who all want to walk along the top of the wall, whilst holding onto the hand of their parents. Certainly, The Boy (all 6ft 2" of him now) used to wobble along this wall on the way back from nursery and you cannot tell me that little children do any harm to a concrete topped low brick wall?

In addition, there is a bus stop further along the road and many a wearied passenger has rested on the wall while waiting for the bus.

Anyway, it's been an utterly glorious day today - even better than Thursday! So good, in fact, that I had my first whirlygig-full of washing drying in the sunshine (my alternative blip) and I even sat out on the veranda eating my (wholemeal) macaroni cheese at lunchtime. Heavenly...
