Jawbones Hill

Toe-bones clatter, knee-bones knock,
skull-bones chatter and shake and shock;
the air hangs heavy with a stony chill
as skeletons rattle down Jawbones Hill.

Jawbones Hill, Jawbones Hill:
go there,
if you dare,
till your heart stands still.

Finger-bones patter, ankle-bones crack,
backbones shatter on the midnight track;
bones may break and blood may spill
as skeletons rattle down Jawbones Hill.

Jawbones Hill, Jawbones Hill:
go there,
if you dare,
till your heart stands still.
