What's the time Daddy?

Emma and I took a little walk along the beach this morning, having already spent some time in the clifftop playground.

Although the weather had been all blue sky an hour or so earlier, it had very quickly clouded over, only to turn all blue again later!

We found masses of mermaid's purses - all empty of any form of coinage:)

These are, if you are not familiar with them, the egg cases of a fish, most probably a skate in this case, although dogfish and even sharks also lay them.

Just as a reminder, we thought we'd make them into a timepiece. We decided it was late, so we had to get our skates on:)
