Longevity

I wanted something a little more upbeat than yesterday's gruesome shot (which made the spotlight page, thank you all) so here is a testament to longevity.

This is a geranium that was given out five years ago to watchers of our 4th of July parade. I loved the color, and it looked like it might like to winter in the house, so when fall came, I brought it in.

It has been in bloom ever since I got it. Now I have always thought geraniums were annuals, but I kept bringing it in and out with the weather, and it has always had blooms.

Nice to have color and summer in the house all year.
