House Sparrow

Today I present you with pride a picture of a house sparrow. With pride? Isn't that just a common garden bird?

Well the house sparrow WAS a common garden bird. And I can assure you that during the last garden bird count in January 2012 I couldn't count one single house sparrow.

These days, at least in my case, I've to go to the Zoo (is Blijdorp in Rotterdam) to make a bird pic of a house sparrow. So I did ... But isn't that a bit weird? I really do worry ... :(

This weekend I'm at a family meeting (baptismal service included). There's a lot of social effort required so I'll be behind in commenting. Hope to catch up with you all next week ... ;)
