Cable Car

There is a very fun cable car in Funchal, which runs from the harbour all the way over the city and up one of the mountains. It takes about fifteen minutes in each direction, during which you get a lovely view of all the buildings and scary, twisty roads.

This picture was taken from the city tour bus, which also starts out in the harbour - but which is rapidly left behind as the cable cars soar away.
