Simple Pleasures

One of the things that I had imagined about my life with "an other half" was that we'd spend evenings sat by the fire, each of us lost in a good book (or at the very least a book!).

Tonight, that finally happened. The OH reading "Kevin McCloud's 45 Principles of Home and myself reading "The Village Diary by Miss Read.

The only sounds were the gentle crackle of the fire, the soft snore of the dog and the occasional page being turned.

That, for me, is one of life's simple pleasures.
