little lead cup
Of course back in the 1800's making children's toys out of lead was nothing out of the ordinary. Of course nowadays that stuff will poison you. By the by this little tea cup was probably part of a miniature tea set. It belonged to a soldier's daughter and probably traveled with the child's belongings as the father was stationed from fort to fort. It was found near Fort Custer. Note the dent. That dent was caused by a bullet. Who knows why, how, or what the circumstance was. I shutter to think.
