NZ Sea Lions

This morning the weather was slightly improved from previous days so we made an effort and went down to Surat Bay, near Owaka.
We walked along the long beach to the end, and on the way saw quite a few NZ Sea Lions.
This is a group of one large male and about 3 females. There was a cub up in the marram grass, but this little one was beside his mother.
He was the only one taking any notice around him.
On the way back it was very squally weather with rain and very strong winds to walk into, and sand blowing - certainly blew any cobwebs away.
