Nostalgia!
Had a fabulous day with number 1 son today at the 'Race Reto' exhibition and show at Stoneleigh Showground.
This blip will mean a lot to certain people but only those over a certain age and with an interest in bikes. In the late 60's Honda, and then Yamaha, made a dramatic difference to motor cycle design and motor cycle sport. To many the 1967 TT races were a massive highlight and Honda 4 cylinder machines played a big part. This example is a 350cc bike. Mike Hailwood is also an iconic name to many. The 67 senior TT was probably one of the classic races of all time and I was there! A long time ago, and I was but a child, but I remember it well. The long duel between Mike Hailwood on a Honda and Giacomo Agostini on an MV is long remembered.
At the show today several of the bikes were taken outside and started up. Only those people who have actually heard a Honda 4, or even a Manx Norton will appreciate my enthusiasm!
