the pipes of the organ in greyfriars kirk on the canongate - i was at an organ recital this morning, some very nice bach toccata&fuge works. not including my very fave organ piece ever (which is widor's toccata in f major), but very lovely all the same. it was rather weird to be at a concert and not see the player tho - we were in the pews downstairs facing forwards, while the organist was upstairs facing the other way; all we got was a blast of music from behind!
