Mashrabya

This is the traditional Arabic screening method of covering windows to keep out the heat and ensure privacy for the family while letting in light. This building (was a madrasa, seems to be deserted now) has no other windows types but this, and it's beautiful. The modern day equivalent seems to be mirrored blue glass, which is not.
