Time for Tea
I was never really sure what I was going to do on Thursday, having pretty much done everything I wanted on Tuesday. I was hoping that I could just sit by the lake and bask in the sun, but the weather turned shitty and I didn't see much point in going up the gondola either. Instead I wandered around various establishments assessing their tea facilities (faciliteas).
Although I liked the atmosphere of Bob's Weigh, and the fact they sell muffins thrice the size of my stomach, they had quite a limited selection (I had Earl Grey), and it was a bit breezy from being so open-fronted.
Vudu Larder was a marked improvement, with a much more exotic choice of teas - I had Chinese dragonwell here - and much nicer crockery. It was also much cosier, despite having two doors, and had a commendable collection of souvenir teaspoons.
Feeling a bit tea-d out, I went back to the hostel and watched the Ellen DeGeneris Show and some news in Maori. Then Becky came through from Cromwell and took me for some drinks and a Fergburger (awesome!). On the way home I got to see the nightclub where flat nose Mike Tindall conducted his indiscretion with a female who wasn't his new royal bride.
