I guess it's true.
I have my friend back home. I emailed and spoke to him this morning and arranged to take him to register with a new GP's surgery.
He wanted to see the one I thought would be a good one for him so I went round to his and eventually we left for the short journey by car. It's the sort of distance he wouldn't normally have had trouble walking so hopefully when he's fully recovered it won't be a problem.
The staff were really friendly and helpful and we sat and completed the forms which were long and there were several.
We then came home and made phone calls to tell the hospital which surgery they could start contacting. They were very eager to get the information and were pleased that we'd done it as requested.
After some time resting we went to the shops where he stayed in the car and I went round to get a few things he specifically wanted.
We took them back to his and unpacked and I made him something to eat and then came home.
He's got several different medicines to take and he is still quite breathless which I hope will get better. I don't know what it's like to recover from a collapsed lung.
He's been through a hell of an ordeal so I guess he has to take time to recover now.
