Parallel Computing

two machines helping to recover the third....how much of my life is spent helping fix other people's computers? hmm. Still; reminded me of the time when I used to turn entire PC labs into a Linux cluster and run multiple artificial neural networks on them. Digital brains tearing apart meteorological satellite data and estimating atmospheric states or analysing images and outperforming human experts. Ah, those early, heady days of such promise.

Now I'm using post-it pads to help people think about getting reticent students to speak....still, I guess a lecture theatre full of students is a parallel cluster of neurons, just that the programming is the tricky bit. ;-)
