The tide stops for no man, not even Canute
These concrete blocks were built in 1940 to try to prevent German tanks from landing on Newburgh beach. When they were built the blocks were placed high and dry at the top of the beach, well above high water mark. Now the sea laps around them at high tide. It's all a bit worrying!
If you are wondering if I got wet taking this shot, then the answer is yes, very!
