Charity Bike Ride 2012

After heavy and persistant rain overnight this morning dawned thick as pea soup fog.

The Charity Bike Ride is a three day event, covering almost 400 km which does a circuit through the Central South Island. They ride in groups of fitness etc. and biked past our property just after 8 am this morning. This is part of a group who are called the bears (they have little fluffy bears on their helmets) others are called the bunnies, elephants etc ..... get my drift? I have great admiration for each and everyone of them.....(& money invested)

The day has improved out of sight, it is so hot and that glorious sun is everwhere. We took off on a bike ride ourselves this morning and was away for about an hour, really enjoyable time.

Then the boy has had the chain saw out and felled a big tree next to the house, there is so much light coming in now, but both of us have sore backs now and will leave the remainder of the cleaning up for another day.
