Life is like a river

Top notch?

Today we celebrated Ash Wednesday here in Iceland and I wore my geisha costume to work. We had fun all morning listening to children and teenagers singing and afterwards they received candy for their performance. Many of them wore creative costumes and make-up and had been practicing their "number" for days :o)

After gym-class I met the women in my photography -club and we discussed plans for the summer. Lots of interesting opportunities since it's Akureyri's 150th anniversary and there will be shows and events all over town.
Before going home I decided to stop by at my parent's house since my brother and his family were due to arrive from Reykjavík. They will be spending a long weekend here in Akureyri.
And I also got a chance to photograph my brother's hands for today's project. Top notch!! ;o)

(This entry is part of a 30 day challenge a lot of blippers were doing in January. This is project #22, Hands)
