Home alone

My wife and children are back in Scotland for the next 10 days while I'm still here in Berlin. I making the most of this time by putting a lot of hours in at work, but also trying to enjoy the city too. So after working just under 12 hours I headed out to meet up with some of the expats on their regular Thursday night meet up. They tend to move from venue to venue each week so I was very happy when I found out that they'd chosen somewhere that I'd been wanting to visit and that was also relatively close to my work.

Lunas Strandgarten is one of Berlin's beach bars which are always attractive to visit when the weather is good. One thing that makes it stands out from the others are its barbeques. As well as being able to buy their Bratwursts they also have another barbeque out amongst the general seating, and this is so you can bring your own food to kook on it. They do the dirty work of providing the charcoal, getting it fired up and even cleaning up after you. So all you need to do is make sure you don't burn your food while you enjoy some drinks from the bar.
