A new fashion in hanging baskets?

These two (they were real, I checked), sorry looking hanging baskets are outside a Glasgow store. Is it a new concept? Buy some hanging baskets, let them wither and die but keep them on display! I'm missing out on something here. Watch this space, if I find any more - I'll let you know.
