Albert Ball's Flying Aces

I'm down in London for the week, and rather than mope around my hotel room I met a friend for a swing dance class. The class is in a strange little pub in Dalston. It doesn't really have an entrance, it's just an unmarked door in a nondescript wall on a random side street. But what a gem it is!
The swing dance class was fab! I learnt some new moves and met some lovely new people. And after class we went upstairs. It's just a single fairly small room, but it is packed with people and has a most wonderful atmosphere. And then there is the band!
They are called "Albert Ball's Flying Aces" according to the Souzaphone. There is also a pianist, guitarist, percussionist/singer, trombonist and a trumpeter tonight. They are amazing!! They are playing 20s and 30s jazz and are great (and it's great to swing dance too as well!). I'm certainly having a fantastic night!
