Tired little poppet

I had to be at work early today.
After work, I dropped off my daughters at kayaking. I then sat down with my son to do some preparation for his Welsh GCSE. Within five minutes, he was fast asleep on the dining table. He is absolutely exhausted. I could tell when he got home from school, that he was very tired.
At 6:30, we went to his school for a parents' evening. All the teachers had good things to say about him but they all said that he needs to put a bit more effort into his work. Same old story.
We popped into the pub for one drink on the way home.
