If one day I gain the ability to walk on water, I may go for a stroll out there. If I turn right and carry on for about 25 miles, I should arrive at Margate. I've never been on holiday there before, only been through the town.

If however, I carry straight on for 80 miles or so, once I have woven a route through the ever sprouting wind turbines, I will be in Belgium. The wind turbines are multiplying as I type. Last week there was just the Gunfleet windfarm. Seven days later and I could count seven new turbines a further 15 km out to sea as part of the new London Array.

When I finally get back to Belgium, I think I will give Brussels a miss this time and just call in on Bruges, which is somewhere I can spend all day walking. But this time of course, I will be able to walk all the canals too.
