Sunday stroll
N, Tess and I had a short stroll down the hill behind us after lunch. We did not go too far because as soon as we walked round the corner the cold wind hit us!
Many farmers are frantically trying to cut their hedges in the next few weeks if they have not done so before. They are unable to do so after the birds have started to build their nests. The hedge on the right has been cut straight across whilst the one on the left is A-line in shape. This is now the favoured way of doing it because the birds have more height and room in which to nest.
The house on the right is a Victorian farmhouse and that on the left used to be two dwellings now made into one. The building behind the tree is a converted barn which now comprises three homes. The monstrosity on the hill in front of the trees on the left is a very modern home and looks more like a block of offices. Not very popular!
