Bodie

Fianlly finished my print of Bodie today. It took ages to cut the plate for the church but I'm quite pleased with it overall.

Bodie is a ghost town in California, between Hawthorne and Lake Mono. It's a bit of a pain to get to - down 13 miles of unpaved (and pretty bumpy!) road off State Highway 395 - but it's well worth the visit. It was abandoned in the late 1800's and has remained in a surprisingly complete state of arrested decay - really interesting and atmospheric. We went there on the drive between Yosemite and Death Valley during our trip last Summer.
