I think I ought to focus the camera more in manual, auto is fine for sports, but I have just come to the conclusion that focusing by hand makes you consider what you're really drawing attention to, and it gives you more time to properly compose the shot. I was a university when the first autofocus lens was introduced. It hasn't really helped my shots that much, it's just made me lazy, lazy enough not to consider what I'm shooting. Today I shot manual focus and most importantly the shot doesn't look like it was taken by a drunk!!
Any comments on autofocus are welcome.
