Some Days

Pin and Thrum

Here is my private stash.

These primroses live in the greenhouse, where I have my coffee in the morning.

They smell delicious and give me another bit of joy every day.

If you go large, you will notice that the cream flower has one big bit in the centre and the pink has several smaller bits. This is because some have a long female part, and short male parts near the bottom of the flower, and some have the opposite. This means that an insect will rub against the pollen on one plant, and against the pollen receiver on another.

Pin and thrum.

End of lecture.

Still pretty, too!
