21/29 shadows

Couldn't decide today's blip. It was this, the dinosaurs in the sunshine, or Ben and his bike in the sunshine. Really didn't know which to blip!

After being unable to sleep last night for some unknown reason - I was still awake at 3.30am - and I'm off caffeine as well - I still got up with Steve this morning rather than lying in! As a result we were all dressed and fed and out and at tots only a tiny bit after ten :D Charley was perfect and arrived asleep, woke for milk and a look around, and went back to sleep on the way home :)

Was lovely to sit and chat, and to be able to keep half an eye on Ben - only had to intervene once which was nice, to stop Ben from some grand theft auto from another boy - and drink tea and eat cake and cuddle Charley is peace. They did pancake races and Ben actually participated, even if he didn't appear to quite get what the point was!

Home again - we took the bike picture on the way home while we were waiting at the level crossing - and Ben had hardly any lunch (he'd had a tiny chocolate cake at tots) but he let me get on with tidying up. I've tidied the kitchen table, got a couple of crafts ready (I can do them with Ben when we are getting bored next!), made 2 pints of pancake batter, tidied the living room and Ben's room. Had a play with shadows and dinosaurs in the newly tidied living room!

Ben's friend Nat came for tea (with mummy and little sister!) They turned Ben's room inside out. Ben dug the train track up with his giant digger...

And we had pancakes! Ben wolfed two down in quick succession (one with cheese, one with chocolate), Nat can't concentrate so took a long while to eat one, his little sister munched her way through two thirds of one plus some cheese and raspberries and then was too full for her bedtime milk, I had far too much insulin and took ages to eat so was hypoing by the time they went home! Ben has enjoyed himself this afternoon. I think Nat has too. And me and Libby. Good times.

Early to bed tonight, I so need some sleep after last night's lack of!!
