Like everyone, I have an idealised version of myself. Achieving it is a long and arguous road that seemingly has no ending. No matter how long someone looks, the person that you choose to be is the person you are now. It's confusing and frustrating. Hopefully the spirit inside and the surrounding forces can show signs of guidance. Sometimes the signs make for detours that appear unnecessary and frivolous through hindsight, but it's the path you choose that creates your true self. The ideal self is only a phantom.
