The Girl in a Red Hoodie

It was just nine in the morning but the sun was scorching hot. While walking passed the sugarcane fields, I caught sight of this little girl in a red hoodie crouched under a mango tree trying to keep cool. Her name is Queesha. She brought some breakfast for her mum who was out in the fields. She told me that she loved to cook and could make a good Pancit (Chinese stir-fried noodles) and chicken adobo. She dreams of someday joining and hopefully winning a cooking contest.
