The Chain

Silver, I much prefer it to gold, it's subtle, it's stylish, it's not trying too hard.

I really like this chain, my wife gave me it on our wedding anniversary in 2001, our eighth married but thirteenth together. unlucky for some but not me!

We'd booked one of the suites at The Witchery (voted one of the most romantic places to stay) and a table for two for 7pm at The Secret Garden Restaurant.

Our suite was ready for us at 3pm unfortunately, we weren't!

Granny was babysitting for us but granny wasn't free until later in the day, so with a lot of last minute rushing we arrived at The Witchery for 7 o'clock! and were shown to our rooms, where our nicely chilled bottle of champagne was by now sitting in a silver bucket of lukewarm water due in part to the roaring fire! (it was October)

So anyway, dinner was a little later than planned (8pm) but it was a fantastic meal!

The suite was amazing, so much room, so much character.
An almost perfect night, apart from the numpty who decided to scream at the top of his lungs at 4 in the morning (for a laugh) followed by the sound of delivery lorries bringing milk and bread and supplies to the Castle from 5.30am

Hopefully they've installed double or even triple glazing since our stay!
