Desperate Dan

Every body knows what Dundee id famous for, don't they? Of course comics. And I don't mean of the stand up kind.
Spent the day in the City Of Discovery, as it is called, although they haven't discovered what it is yet.
Boom boom.
Had my favourit,Chicken Mole (pronounced molay) for dinner. This is a Mexican dish, chicken on a chocolate sauce. Yummy.
Any in the pedestriansed city center they have these wonderful statues. This is the great Desperate Dan, and who would have imagined that there was a song of that title. Well done the makers of Mouldy Old Dough.
We were in Dundee to visit the Caird Hall to see Psychic Sally, and although I am a bit of a sceptic with these sort of things, it was a very enjoyable and somewhat freaky night.
On the way home I noticed that on the 27th of this month, a week today, they are starting roadworks by Lawrencekirk. Already they have the dual carriageway coned off in preparation. Nothing like causing chaos before it is really needed.
