yet another day

and the vicar came for tea

Firstly, thank you for everyone's kind comments yesterday, it's lovely that people took time to comment on what must be a very depressing blip.

Today was back to school for the kids :( Even though they are teenagers I still love school holidays with them. As this holiday was a bit of a disaster, I think I need to start planning for the Easter holidays.

I've been sorting through mum's old photos, some of which have spent over 50 years in a biscuit tin. I'm trying to get an album ready for the wake. She was born in London in 1942, so she was a true war baby. The photos of her in the washing basket were taking when she was evacuated with her mum to Mansfield. My nan didn't really like it up there, so they came came back to London and braved the bombs for the rest of the war instead.

This evening the vicar came round to organise the funeral. He's a really nice guy and I think that we managed to sort out most things. Soon after he left I received a phone call from him, apparently his wife used to babysit me and he thought that that would make a nice story for the funeral. I just hope that the 'nice story' doesn't involve anything horrible that I may have done when his wife was looking after me.

No work tomorrow, so I'm meeting a friend for coffee and a very big muffin :-)
