hold my hand

Is there a saying along the lines of 'children hold your hand a while but your heart forever'? Ella and Isaac were back at school and nursery today so me and Hugh had a quiet day at home. He was a grumpy boy though - think he may be teething as he has been stuffing his whole hand in his mouth. N is away for work and set off before dawn so it was a bit chaotic around teatime/bedtime. The weather was glorious today though and we are seeing a huge difference in the light in the late afternoons. E & I played outside for an hour when they came home and it was great seeing them let off steam in the fresh air before bedtime. Roll on spring!
